Promising to deliver the experience of ‘Bali as it should be’, Soori Bali is based on the foundations of spirituality, community and a cultural connection to its surroundings. A blissful paradise of accomplished architecture in a natural setting, it has been named among the Financial Times’ top 50 beach hotels in the world.
An ancient Hindu temple dedicated to the sea gods is perched atop a rocky outcrop, providing a deep connection to the island’s mystical past. Inside the resort are equally impressive modern additions, including the signature Ombak restaurant, led by chefs with experience in some of the world’s best eateries.
Accommodation is in a range of villas and residences that echo the island’s traditional living styles while also providing every luxurious amenity. With private terraces and pools, secluded inner courtyards, high-tech entertainment and indulgent living spaces, there is room to spread out, relax and take the time to find yourself again.
And if you need a little extra help the Soori Spa is there to guide you on a journey of discovery to find the balance between the inner being and material self. Massage therapies, reflexology, hydrotherapy, body care, facials and movement rituals are all experienced in an environment that encourages healing and reinvigoration.
The Spa
Soori Spa
Soori Spa offers an intuitive and holistic path to wellbeing for its guests. In a tranquil setting on the edge of a black volcanic beach under Mount Batukaru, nurturing treatments provide transformative experiences for the mind, body and soul.
A menu of massages draws from European and Asian modalities, and is tailored to the individual’s needs. The Spirit of Soori Massage uses healing energy to help discover your inner nature, while Abdominal Chi Massage promotes stress release from the nervous system.
Indulgent scrubs and wraps are enhanced by a six-head Vichy shower to aid blood circulation, and after a relaxing day in the sun guests can enjoy face and body care rituals including the Ultimate Escape, Balinese Beauty Ritual and Soori Sun Soother. These programmes incorporate thermal journeys including use of the Jacuzzi and steam facilities, as well as therapist-led body treatments.
Adding in movement to promote balance in the mind and body, yoga, meditation and private fitness training in the 24-hour gym are also available.
For an immersive half-day wellness journey, why not book a Soori Sunrise ritual, beginning with yoga and breathing exercises, breakfast in a location of your choice and then a three-hour Holistic Heaven treat in the spa before lunch. Alternatively, the Soori Sunset programme starts the afternoon with a detoxifying treatment before expert-guided sunset yoga and a light meal prepared by Soori’s executive chef. A star-gazing pressure-point massage concludes your perfect day.
