An adults-only dedicated destination spa with a 500-strong team, it’s not just about the facilities and treatments here. As well as its stunning secluded rural location set in 13 thoughtfully planted, carefully tended acres to explore, with gorgeous views of England’s green and pleasant land, there’s fantastic food and drink at four different venues, a beauty shop, a high-end clothes and accessories boutique, beautiful rooms and suites, and even an adapted bedroom for wheelchair users. They really have thought of everything.

The spa at Ragdale Hall prides itself on attention to detail and personal service.
Before arrival, guests are sent a welcome pack with everything they need to know ahead of their stay. There’s so much on offer, you need to do your homework to decide exactly which elements of the spa you want to experience.
For many, the thermal spa journey is the must-do. The twelve different heat and water experiences such as the Waterfall Pool and Candle Pool are mostly housed in a spacious glass atrium filled with tropical plants. There’s a garden sauna and herbal sauna, a volcanic salt bath, an immersive heat experience complete with sound and visuals, as well as the Scented Room, where images of nature and fresh aromatics reconnect you with this powerful sense. Elsewhere, there’s a rooftop heated infinity pool to take in the sumptuous views of the countryside, and in the summer months, an outdoor heated pool to get those lengths in.
In the Heart + Soul studios, classes include tai chi, HIIT, lift training, drum workshops, pilates, ballet fit, pilates, step, aerobics, sound baths, yoga and more.
To recover after all that activity, the range of treatments to choose from is immense, with signature massages including Ragdale Hall’s SOS Remedial Massage and the MOT Wellness Massage which uses chakra-balancing aromatherapy oil and crystals as well as a combination of massage, acupressure and gentle body stretches for overall wellbeing. You can also experience Mind Band Weight Reduction hypnotherapy, dry flotation therapy, and the Pro Luxury Mud Mineral Infusion, which is exclusive to Ragdale.
Aesthetic services include microneedling, cosmetic acupuncture and a range of results-driven technological treatments, while a full menu of beauty salon treatments for brows, lashes, nails and beyond is offered in the open plan Beauty Express area. Mums-to-be also have a dedicated treatment list in the spa to spoil themselves from top to toe.

There are 93 guest rooms and suites, from Simple to Luxury, all featuring the modern touches you’d expect, with tastefully muted decor designed to enhance the relaxing spa experience. The Terrace Suite features a sublime marble bathroom with a free-standing bath and a living area with a panoramic feature fire. It has double doors opening onto a private terrace with views of the gardens and countryside beyond.

Whether it’s the buffet breakfast (or a breakfast in bed), or you’re heading for the Dining Room, Verandah Bar or Garden Room, there’s a mouthwatering choice with healthy dishes always at hand. Dining Room dinner options include coq au vin or fillet of British beef, while grilled salmon or squash and sage tortellini could be more your bag at the Verandah Bar – followed by sundowners at the luxurious Twilight Bar.
