Chewton Glen
Hampshire, England
Price Guide
Providing quintessential English-style luxury on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, Chewton Glen is a five-star Relais & Châteaux hotel and spa that prides itself on a truly original offering.
Set in 130 acres of Hampshire countryside, the 18th-century country house hotel offers oodles of space and the opportunity to escape to a rare rural idyll that’s just 10-minutes from the South Coast beaches.
Originality is Chewton Glen’s middle name. It’s one of the few places in the UK where you can feast on gourmet dishes curated by celebrity chefs, or learn to cook alongside them, before retiring to soak up the evening ambience in your own hot tub on the private terrace outside your elevated Treehouse suite! The emphasis is very much on comfort, with traditionally decorated country house rooms and all the trappings of five-star luxury.
Chewton Glen’s spa and wellness offering – one of our Luxury Spa Edit 2025 award winners – has everything you need for the perfect spa break. There are pools galore, heat suites and every type of activity on offer, from tennis and pickle ball to a five-star gym.
The Spa
Chewton Glen’s spa offers a fully immersive experience, whether that is in its newly refurbished 17m indoor swimming pool or enjoying a glass of bubbly at the Pool Bar! There’s a 10m heated outdoor pool, an award-winning hydrotherapy spa pool plus an outdoor whirlpool to complete the water experiences.
You can get comfortable in the sauna and steam rooms, located in each changing room, or enjoy a mixed-use social session in the communal steam room. There’s also a foot spa in the female changing rooms.
If you are feeling energetic, take your pick from a round of golf on the 9-hole par-3 course, indoor or outdoor tennis, pickleball or a session in one of two purpose-built fitness studios offering everything from Pilates to dance classes.
There are a huge number of package experiences to choose from, including Twilight Spa evenings, Sunrise Spa experiences and Active Spa Days. The spa is the first in the UK to offer hair and scalp treatments with Monpure London, the world’s first dedicated scalp and hair health brand. It also has a unique Seascape experience in partnership with Irish brand Seabody plus the Saltwater Sauna at nearby Avon Beach.
And don’t forget to take home a little spa magic from the boutique retail space that stocks products from OSKIA, Amethyst Trust, Natura Bissé, Seabody and Chewton Glen’s own-brand products.
