The guest list at the Beaverbrook Estate is a Who’s Who? of 20th century history, so why not add yourself to the company of Sir Winston Churchill, Elizabeth Taylor and Ian Fleming?
A 470-acre estate overlooking the Surrey Hills, Beaverbrook is resolutely family-friendly and provides an on-site kids’ and cinema clubs as well as a wide range of accommodation that can be configured to meet any requirement.
For adults taking in the idyllic interiors and historic ambience there are two restaurants and a spa deli to quench your thirst and fill you up, as well as an intimate cocktail bar and a selection of rooms that would make a prime minister’s head spin.
For a truly effective wellness break, the Coach House Spa is fully equipped to deliver a range of innovative and results-based treatments that are complemented by hydrothermal facilities, including an English Bath House experience and a sauna and steam suite.
The Spa
The Coach House Health Club and Spa
The Coach House Spa literally aims to help guests “walk the path of wellness” underneath an installation by contemporary artist Brian Clarke in which stained glass and ceramics create a colourful display to welcome you in.
The 20m indoor pool has cornflower insets to give the effect of flowers bobbing on the water’s surface and there is an outdoor splash pool for children. The thermal suite, which uses heat from the glass ceiling above to create a natural ambience, is equipped with a Jacuzzi, a spacious steam room, a sauna and an ice fountain.
An English Bath House, based on a Turkish hammam, is an ideal way to prepare for a treatment in one of six rooms including a couple’s suite and a specialist practitioner’s room.
In addition to a menu packed with rejuvenating rituals and bodywork modalities, additional services include IV vitamin and mineral and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to help repair cells and energise the body and mind.
Finishing touches are provided in the Beauty Room and Barber’s Salon. Calming relaxation spaces offer privacy to drift away post-treatment before paying a visit to the Coach House Deli to enjoy a menu including super-food salads, wood-fired flatbreads and cold-pressed juices.
