We Discover a Tranquil Thai Spa Sanctuary in the Heart of London

With promises of ‘a relaxing haven’, mesmerizing Thai décor, and a soothing quiet that calms you instantly – the Thai Square Spa offers up an alluring solution. Nestled behind Charing Cross station, it’s the perfect stop off for those in need of some TLC after a hard day at work or for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London life.
As soon as I entered the spa, I was fussed over by the staff and felt instantly serene, despite having had a busy (read: very stressful) day in the office. It’s the kind of place that you enter and your shoulders immediately fall towards the floor and your breath seems to get slower. I was given a fluffy white robe and offered a green tea. Well, one must when at a spa… In no time at all, I was then led to one of the treatment rooms for my facial.
I opted for the ‘Traditional Thai Facial’ (1hr) which promises to heal and nourish your skin by mixing organic skin products with traditional application techniques. During this time, my skin was kneaded, steamed and massaged which magically allowed me to drift away from all the stresses of daily life. The fragrant oils filled the room with a wonderful calmness.
It was hard to believe that I was in central London and not at a luxurious spa retreat hidden in Thailand. It’s oh-so relaxing, it’s easy to distance yourself from reality. I had the best night’s sleep in a long time and a friend at work even commented that I was ‘glowing’. It’s the ideal place to visit when you desperately need time to switch off and its easy to see why the Thai Square Spa was a 2017 World Luxury Spa Winner.
