Waldhotel Health & Medical Excellence launches a Beauty & Health Programme
The Swiss have always known the health benefits of natural scenic surroundings and fresh mountain air, so when Switzerland’s newest luxury resort, the sprawling new Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne was developed, it seemed logical that one of the four hotels would focus on wellness.
The Waldhotel Health & Medical Excellence, designed by noted architect Matteo Thun, recently debuted as a revolutionary new wellness center. To celebrate its opening, several introductory programs have been created to promote beauty and healthy aging including customized treatments and rejuvenating procedures with dermatologists and cosmeticians. After their stay, guests check out with new vitality, regained natural radiance and rejuvenated complexions and bodies.
The Bürgenstock Resort sits 1,600 feet above spectacular Lake Lucerne with stunning views of the nearby Alps. Built into the mountain and surrounded on three sides by a forest of oak, spruce, pine and larch, the new five-star Waldhotel offers state-of-the-art facilities including a 37,000-square foot medical centre, a 17,000-square foot spa and Verbena restaurant featuring healthy Mediterranean cuisine.
Managing Director Bruno Schöpfer, the mastermind behind the Bürgenstock Resort explains, “With Switzerland’s excellent reputation in medicine and this spectacular setting on the lake surrounded by these beautiful mountains, we believe guests will be drawn here both for rejuvenation or simply a healthy getaway.”
The Waldhotel’s medical centre is accredited as a hospital and has several fulltime doctors on staff offering cutting-edge aesthetic therapies such as personalized cell therapy, Pellevé® radio frequency and Icoone®; laser therapy for skin rejuvenation and treatment of pigment disorders; skin cancer screening by FotoFinder®, as well as treatment of acne using Biophotonic Technology Kleresca®.
