Review – Better Ageing: Dr David Jack Nano Lift Collagen treatment at Liberty, London

It may be 150 years old but Liberty of London feels as fresh and relevant as ever. This is where I come to browse the beauty hall, drift between counters, test its clever curation of products and brands, many of whom also offer treatments in the series of rooms around the building.

Dr David Jack’s studio is its own entity, tucked away on the lower ground floor, past the menswear department, in a space that was once a dog groomer. It’s smart as can be, dressed with Cyprus Voyage Liberty print wallpaper, marble floors and antiques, a far cry from a clinical white-box.

Overview

Dr David Jack is one of the UK’s most respected aesthetic practitioners. He has clinics in Harley Street, Belgravia, Royal Exchange and one up in Edinburgh, while this Liberty outpost opened in late 2025. One look at his instagram page shows his commitment to regeneration rather than drastic intervention, and a focus on long-term skin health rather than quick fixes. He’s totally up to speed with the best tech, injectables and medical-grade procedures, but he’s also developed a loyal following for his brilliantly streamlined straight-talking skincare line: Good Morning Vitamin C serum when you get up, All Day Long SPF every single day please, and Good Night retinoid cream for just before bed.

The Treatment

The Nano Lift Collagen treatment, exclusive to Liberty, is the one everyone is hankering after. On paper it sounds almost alarmingly comprehensive. Electrical muscle stimulation. Radiofrequency energy. Fractional laser technology. Peptide infusions. Cryotherapy. It throws the whole anti-ageing toolkit into a single hour, which is just what I like to hear. The treatment begins with a cooling gel before electrical muscle stimulation activates facial muscles, little elastic band pricks that make your lips shimmy around of their own accord. Next the radiofrequency delivers controlled heat deep into the skin with a rhythmic warmth that feels like miniature hot stones gliding across the face, soothing but also purposeful. A dual-phase peel is followed by Korean fractional laser technology that stimulates the skin’s natural repair mechanisms and encourages fresh collagen production. The final stages involve a high-pressure air jet that drives a cocktail of peptides, growth factors and PDRN deep into the skin, followed by ultrasonic infusion and cooling cryotherapy to reduce any redness. Throughout, the machines hum, blip and beep reassuringly away. There’s a lot of technology involved but the treatment culminates in human touch with a massage around the eye sockets that is hypnotic and you’ll wish went on much longer.

The Pain Factor

One of the biggest challenges with results-driven facial treatments is that they often swing too far in one direction – either luxurious but ineffective, or effective but vaguely punishing. The Nano Lift sits comfortably in the middle with enough sensation to reassure you something meaningful is happening, but nothing I’d describe as painful. Downtime is minimal, a little post-treatment pinkness, making it an easy lunchtime option. The clinic also excels at aftercare. The Results

Immediately my skin looked noticeably brighter and clearer. What makes the treatment particularly appealing is that it’s designed to keep working long after you’ve left Liberty. Over the next few days as I peered in the mirror, the fine lines around my face seemed to ebb away, my skin looked and felt smoother and I wore less and less make up as the week went on. My skin looked really healthy rather than just temporarily polished and plumped.
