Set in 300 acres of rolling Hertfordshire countryside just 18 miles from the UK capital, The Grove promises the ultimate five-star retreat for guests looking for an unforgettable experience.
As well as a prestigious 18-hole golf course, which hosted the British Masters in 2016, the expansive grounds also offer Anoushka’s Kids Club for families, a world of organic produce in Jemima’s Kitchen Garden, swimming and beach fun at Ralph’s beach, and woodland trails on which to ride bicycles.
Accommodation at The Grove ranges from a huge selection of Classic, Superior and Deluxe rooms in the recently refurbished West Wing to 17 character-filled rooms and suites in the 18th-century mansion house. When it comes to dining, The Grove offers a dizzying array of options from the Asian food-hall-style international live food stations of The Glasshouse to the traditional British menu of The Stables restaurant, not to mention exciting pop-ups and collaborations to tempt even the most eclectic of tastes.
Make your way to the stunning Sequoia Spa, a stylish and calming oasis of health and wellness that has recently been re-imagined to include a sleek, black poolscape, a range of rejuvenating hydrothermal experiences and an inclusive treatment menu in partnership with only the best spa brands.

To Eat
The Grove’s Glasshouse restaurant offers “a theatre of international cuisine” within a buzzing, food hall-style environment inspired by Asian dining styles. Epicurean delights are provided at various “stations” that serve everything from salads to seafood, sushi, stonebaked pizza, Italian and Asian cuisine, vegan delights, charcuterie, cheese and – of course – desserts. The Glasshouse bar has a “garden to glass” philosophy that sees homegrown ingredients mixed to perfection to bring the goodness of nature in to your beverage!
For a menu of British classics, head to the more relaxed environs of The Stables, where quality organic ingredients from the estate’s kitchen garden combine to create wholesome dishes from breakfast through to lunch and dinner. The Stables bar and terrace offers an extensive drinks list to sample while overlooking the championship golf course.
The Grove’s lounges also offer an indulgent way to while away the hours with a midday coffee or sampling a sushi platter by experienced sushi chef Christian Sta Maria, while a summer pop-up Verde Kitchen in the Walled Garden offers Neopolitan-style fresh pizzas. Another pop-up, Madhu’s at The Grove, is an elevated South Asian dining experience serving up a mouth-watering array of dishes from zesty chilli and garlic prawns to Alphonso mango sorbet.
